Ways to Help
We need your help. For only $1.50 per person, we can make our dream a reality and create tangible results that will benefit all Canadians. We have partnered with all three levels of government, the local community, our Project Patrons and the private sector. PetroCanada and the City of Vancouver have generously donated the land, located at the corner of Hastings Street and Commercial Drive. We are now seeking funding to build the facility, and every contribution helps. Please join us in supporting this unique initiative.
Donate Funds/Cash
Please make your cheque or money order payable to the Native Youth Centre and mail to the address below. The Native Youth Centre does not currently have a Planned Giving Program, but we would be happy to discuss ideas and possibilities with you.
Donating Materials & Supplies
The Native Youth Centre will need materials and supplies to build and furnish the building, including new low-energy computers, sports equipment, large amounts of glass, and significant amounts of lumber for the building, pillars and gym floor. Contact us to identify how you can help through an in-kind donation.
Other Ways To Help
Please spread the word, and advocate for the creation of the NYC through your networks. Please let us know about potential funding opportunities.
How will donations be recognized?
You can be sure that your donation will go directly to the Native Youth Centre. All NYC donations are deposited in a separate bank account specifically allocated to the NYC, and this is documented in our audited financial statements. The Board of Directors has developed diverse ways for donors to be recognized, including a Native youth-designed art installation that will be prominently displayed in the main foyer. You can view all recognition opportunities here. In addition, all donations valued at $20 or more may be eligible for a tax-deductible receipt.
